Jeff Craig Golf Bio
Jeff Craig’s golf journey began with a junior career that remains unmatched in Pennsylvania history. He is the only player ever to win all three of the state’s major junior titles, a sweep that included the 1986 Pennsylvania High School State Championship, the 1987 Philadelphia Junior Championship, and the 1987 Pennsylvania State Junior Championship. These victories established him early as one of the most dominant junior players the state had ever produced.
His momentum carried into Division I golf at East Carolina University, where in 1992 he won the CAA Conference Individual Championship with the record score of the year, while also helping lead ECU to the team conference title.
Jeff began his professional teaching career at the historic Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Pinehurst, North Carolina, studying under two giants of the game—Peggy Kirk Bell and Dr. Jim Suttie. Their mentorship shaped his instructional foundation and prepared him for a global career.
In 1995, Jeff moved to Thailand, becoming one of the very first overseas golf instructors in the country and ultimately the longest-standing professional coach in Phuket. Over the past 30 years, he has taught thousands of golfers across Asia, building a reputation for clarity, calm communication, and world-class technical knowledge.
A unique chapter in his journey came during the 2006 PGA Tour season, when Jeff had the rare opportunity to caddy for Sir Nick Faldo, one of the greatest players in history. He also worked alongside Faldo at the Royal Trophy, gaining invaluable insight into the mindset and precision of a six-time major champion—experience that continues to inspire his coaching today.
With three decades of international teaching, elite competitive roots, and mentorship from some of the most influential figures in golf, Jeff has become one of Asia’s most trusted and enduring golf professionals.
